The Founder's Journey
I'm Navid, the founder of OnPurpose Careers. My career journey began 15+ years ago in career advising, took me internationally to Singapore where I worked in education, and eventually led me through the nonprofit sector developing workforce programs. While working in talent acquisition, I noticed a troubling pattern: talented professionals in mission-driven fields were consistently undervalued and underpaid.
This realization sparked my mission. I saw firsthand how the false narrative that "meaningful work means financial sacrifice" was limiting incredible talent. Professionals in education, nonprofits, and social impact were settling for less compensation than their skills warranted—often because they lacked the tools, confidence, and strategies to advocate for their worth.
I founded OnPurpose Careers to bridge this gap. Drawing on my unique perspective from both sides of the hiring table and years of guiding career transitions, I've developed a methodology that helps professionals align their career choices with their values while securing the compensation they deserve.
Today, our team of specialized coaches has expanded this vision, helping hundreds of purpose-driven professionals find fulfilling work that pays fairly. We've transformed the "purpose versus paycheck" mindset into "purpose and paycheck," because we firmly believe you shouldn't have to choose.
